Group Info

This group is open for everyone who likes to draw all sorts of monsters, mutants, cryptids, aliens, and so on, so feel free to join and share your art, or ask for professional guidance from more experienced artists!

Terms of Submission:

1. The picture you post should include at least one monstrous beast, which can be a mythological creature, a cryptid, an alien, etc... (dragons are most welcome;)), but if the creature is too humanoid (for example, a human with wings, or feline eyes, or reptile scales), we might reject it, due to it being too human. And if it is a regular, scientifically registered animal, it will most likely rejected as well.
*Giant squids are accepted (into the cryptids folder), even though they're not scientifically classified as cryptids anymore.

2. Erotic/sexual scenes will be rejected. It is okay to post monsters which naturally have nude human features, like, for example, a mermaid or a harpy with naked breasts, but no obvious sexual/provocative scenes will be accepted.

3. Make sure to post your art into the right folders!! We've created enough folders for any kind of art, but if you're still not sure where your art belongs, you can either submit it into "Other" folder, or ask the admins. Art that will be posted into a wrong folder is under a risk of being rejected!! The "Featured" folder is for admin use only.

Okay, I won't be formal in that one, because I've pretty much lost my patience.
There's a disturbing thing going on in the submission section - many artists tend to try to post their works into the Kaiju folder, when the work has absolutely nothing to do with Kaiju! (of course there's no problem when you post actual kaijus into the folder)

Guys... if you're not sure where to post your work, or if one of the folders doesn't work properly - talk to me!
I'll be happy to help, and that's not a formal phrase - I really like to help, that's the guy I am.

If you don't know what a Kaiju is then have this: seriously just read it - it's a  whole wikipedia topic - I'm sure it'll help.

Now I know that a couple of users pressed a wrong button by a mistake. It happens. In fact it happens to me a lot, but when it's a pattern, I just don't believe that ALL of you have your fingers slip off the mouse every time.

Look I love you all, I love to see your great art in my group ("my" because I'm writing this journal, but basically it's OUR group for all of us to use and enjoy), but I can't fix everyone's mistakes individually all the time if you just keep making them on constant basis, or even deliberately. Seriously, I don't know how that's happening, but i'll just HAVE TO DENY THEM ALL. Please don't make me do it.
That's all, have fun...

Hey I'm just wondering where to put my species. I'm not sure whether to put it in Aliens, Mutants, Mythical Creatures, or what. :/

Could you give me an example of your species, please?

Well, if I were you, I'd put it in "Other", but you could also consider "Alien", in case it's extraterrestrial, or "Mutant", if it's genetically a mix of iguana and Komodo dragon..
